In case you missed it a couple months ago there was leaked footage of Ryan Reynolds reprising his role of Deadpool. People reacted so well to the footage that 20th Century Fox has officially given a green light for the Deadpool Movie. The movie will hit theaters February 12, 2016. The studio still hasn't confirmed that Ryan Remolds will play Deadpool in the movie but it's expected. The script will be done by Zombieland writers Rhett Reese and Paul Wernick.
In an interview Ryan Reynolds was asked his thoughts on the positive reaction.
"There was such an overpowering reaction to the footage,you sort of feel like, 'Oh,so we weren't crazy for our reasons for loving this character, for loving this role.' It's interesting to see the power of the internet. It's awe-inspiring,actually." (via Comingsoon.net)
Reynolds has already played Deadpool in X-men Origins: Wolverine. 20th Century Fox owns the rights to Deadpool and the X-men. As we already know the Deadpool movie will hit theater 3 months before X-men: Apocalypse. We can only speculate if the movies are going to be in the same universe. X-men: Apocalypse will hit theaters May 27, 2016.
